Participants will be taught by an experienced, passionate high school teacher how to interpret the science outcomes in the NSW K–6 Science and Technology syllabus for the Australian curriculum. By meeting these requirements participants with be able to thoroughly prepare their students for high school. By demonstrating a range of examples of hands- on lessons for each of the six content strands as well as the important learning process and skill of investigation, the presenter will enable participants to acquire and apply scientific knowledge, understanding and skills, which will allow participants to evaluate teaching/learning activities based on science. Further teacher learning opportunities will include updating existing K–6 programs based of knowledge gained in this course.
